Pastor Joe’s Sermon Preview from Last Week…
“Biblical courage isn’t about winning debates—it's about proclaiming the only truth that can save souls.”

Sitting in the seats at GraceLife, or even watching from home, we can all hear something different. I believe God speaks to each of us personally—He gives us the message He wants us to hear.
When Pastor Joe started preaching, my mind went straight to my health struggles. I knew that was what God wanted me to hear today. He was telling me to be courageous.
I hugged so many people at church today who are also walking through health battles—cancer, mental illness, brain tumors, substance abuse disorder, depression, epilepsy, anxiety. We all require tons of courage.
How do we get courage? Through the Gospel. The Truth.
I’m in several epilepsy support groups on Facebook, and most people in those groups share a lot of fears and anxieties.
But I can share courage with them.
I can share Truth.
I can shepherd other epileptics and anyone facing health struggles.
John 8:32 — “You will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”
Who doesn’t want to be free from fear?
I’m not going to let fear dictate my behavior anymore. I'm giving my fears and anxieties to God—because they are too heavy for me to carry. I will stand tall, chest out, smile on my face—not fear. I will have faith, hope, and courage. And then I will share it with others.
God is my doctor. God is the surgeon. So why should I fear? God is the reason for this season in my life. Maybe the whole purpose of this journey is for me to have courage—so I can help others find courage too.
Matthew 28:19–20
“Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”
I will walk courageously in every part of my life—
with epilepsy, with my family, in my recovery, in my marriage, in my finances, with my friends, and at work.
Jesus, continue to guide me in Your truth. Help me be courageous, and help me share that courage with others who are afraid. Amen.
